The Nisi Khola, Taman Khola, and Dhorpatan regions are now bustling with sheep and goats as the sheepfolds descend to the lowlands.
During the dry season, when grass becomes scarce in the lowlands, the sheepfolds move up to the highlands.
In the western Baglung region, it's a longstanding tradition for shepherds to relocate their livestock from the lowlands to the highlands as the weather changes.
Here, one family can raise anywhere from two hundred to a thousand sheep.
As festivals draw near, shepherds embark on days-long journeys to major cities including Pokhara, Butwal, Kushma, Palpa, and Galkot to sell their livestock.
